Last weekend we ventured to explore our recently famed Coney Island. Yes, we are a little late on Coney Island hype train. But here we are, Coney Island. Just our luck that it rained…well drizzled the entire session we were there. But we still went ahead anyway(:
We figured we should hire any bikes cause as YJ said it “he trusts his legs more”. So, nope no bikes. As we entered the place, we found ourselves in the woods and I loved the trees there because well, they were somewhat trees you see in temperate climates. So it was a nice touch in the environment in Coney.
There were Beach areas from A to E? And the beaches weren’t anything spectacular because theoretically a beach consists of a large walkway of sand along the sea. For Coney, there was hardly any walkway but we checked it out anyway.
Did I mention that the stretch to and from the entrance to the other exit is 2.4km? Pretty easy but that’s not the point. The trees are EVERYWHERE, I think Coney would make a really nice place to hold camps or stuff like that but unfortunately they prohibit camps and they close at 7pm so…meh.
The backdrop is nice everywhere and there’s some lalang fields that you can use for photoshoots as well so it’s pretty neat I would say. We wanted to spot the lonely cow on Coney’s but meh we couldn’t find it but instead Yj spotted a dead gecko lying right smack in the centre of the road. Great. Add that to the list of animals Denis hates.
Overall Coney’s seems like a nice place to visit and chill with Mother Nature by your side although it can get pretty humid at times. But c’mon, Singapore was never a “cool” place to live in, no pun intended. Till next time folks(:
