Aftermath.

Having just done my internship report, I’d like to say a few things on my mind that aren’t on the report. Here it goes,

I HATE MY INTERNSHIP. Okay there done.

I mean yay I successfully finished my 10 weeks requirement of internship for my graduation. Thank god. But I honestly hated my job. “Hate” is extreme but I’m not a subtle person either so yup. Internship as a marketing intern was pretty exciting at first because I got to learn so many new things like content management and Photoshop skills…even videography (cool, I know). But the sucky feeling comes when I have to “brainstorm” for ideas. Holy, I mean the first few times I “brainstormed” for ideas went pretty smooth but after repeated tenders requiring me to “brainstorm”…well, let’s just say there were a couple of times I wanted to throw the tender at her face (I didn’t, duh).

Maybe because I’m new, the first few couple of times I had an idea, they always get rejected because Idk…favoritism comes into play. Guess she just prefers a guys’ idea. I swear to god his idea was so fcking crap…I cringed when I heard it. Okay, here’s the context: A proposal to increase the social media awareness for NDP 2016. The idea? A wishing-well website. WOW! Great idea eh? And yet the boss was insistent that his idea was impressive. That, I have nothing to say. What’s worst, we had to present our “impressive” idea to the committee for approval. Oh lord, where is my face gonna hide.

Okay that’s enough rant for a day. But I just wanted to conclude that being an intern kinda sucks but luckily it was a small company so it was maybe 10% of the damage compared to interning at a big company. I’m glad I learnt some Photoshop skills though, that, I’m grateful for.

Note to self: Marketing sucks. P.S I’m majoring in marketing so…Fml.
