Stop being so nice all the time.
At some point, you need to realize that closure is as simple as cutting them off and moving on. Unless of course, you moved on and you are absolutely sure that staying as friends will not change anything. Then you do you. Ngl but my brain died a little when one of his buddies recommended reconciliation with his ex because she can COOK AND CLEAN. Oh, the audacity. I’m sorry but are you looking for a wife or a maid?
If you truly feel that there is no future with this person, then you should stop keeping in touch with them. Not only are your giving this person the false hope that they can get back to you if their future relationships doesn’t work out, you are literally setting yourself up for a heartbreak. Don’t do that.
