Well well well, here’s another korea trip with mother after 2 years. I mean it’s about time I restocked my skincare goodies right? So here goes our 9D8N of which we spent 5 days in Seoul shopping/skiing and 4 days in Jeju chilling. I actually spent quite a bit at Olive Young because sister here have no self control. Money earned is meant to be spent ya!!

During our time in Seoul, I managed to squeeze in a ski session at Elysian Ski Resort which could have went pretty darn well if Mr Q didn’t influence me to take the intermediate route (which the instructor told us not to do so). Context was that we are technically beginners at skiing and we should just be staying in the beginner ski routes but he insisted to try the intermediate ones just because “HE PAID FOR IT AND HE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DO WHAT HE WANTS”. Ngl I was tempted to try it too since I managed to ski in a straight line without falling down. I actually said no to his request a couple times but he was so persistent. I should have just stood my ground.
In the end, we took the ski lift up to the intermediate route and I understood why it was intermediate level; it has so many curves which a beginner would not be able to maneovre through ie. me. As a matter of fact, I fell down so many times that my ski shoes got dislodged and the ranger had to help me up to only watch me fall down again at the curve portion of the route.
In the end, I walked the walk of shame down the hill and I was fuming. Everything would have went so well if I didn’t listen. Till this day, I still think I should have stood my ground and asked him to leave me alone; he can risk it on his own. It’s ruined my mood for the entire trip actually but I tried to let it go.

Surprisingly, the flight to Jeju didn’t crash and we actually had 2 good days of snow during out time there. Honestly, Seoul was bitterly cold with no snow and I kinda hated it. Jeju on the other hand was much cooler and it snowed. Phew. We checked out the tea museum and a couple of waterfalls as part of a one-day tour during our time in Jeju and ate plenty of seafoods. I also planned a day to Jeju Folk Museum since we had an extra day to spare. Here’s some of the pictures Mr Q took since he brought his camera.

And that’s about all we did on this trip!! The mission was to restock the goods and we achieved that, we also managed to score a nice snow session so that was a bonus. Mother loves seeing snow, I think I’m less enthusiastic about it. Nevertheless, the weather beats Singapore’s for sure. I wonder if I should make it an annual trip instead now that I have more leave days hehe. Alright, the next trip will be to Turkeye!!! Can’t wait. Travelling solo is gonna be interesting since I’m A StRoNg aND IdEpenDenT wOman!!!! Fingers crossed 🙂
Until the next loves,
D
