Train to Busan | Busan

This Chinese New Year we went to Korea again!! But this time we went to Busan!! Just because Seoul is getting a little boring so I decided that we should venture forth into the outskirts of Korea instead. Ngl the travelling time to Busan took us an entire day which was quite tiring but we got to see a side of Korea we’ve never seen before which was nice.

Busan is actually a coastal town and we managed to go to the beach during our time there even though its winter time. Ah, I also tried snowboarding for the first time in Busan!! They have one ski resort called Eden Valley at Busan which was quite small compared to Vivaldi in Seoul but it was still pretty good. Snowboarding is HARD. I couldn’t stand up simply because my core was not strong enough so 90% of the time I had to get help to stand up. I didn’t have issues balancing after I got up but it’s rather tiring to keep taking off the snowboard and putting it on to slide down the slope every single time. The verdict is I am just going to stick to skiing from now on. Anyway, we gave up after a couple of tries and just grabbed lunch before making our way back to the hotel.

We were supposed take the blueline capsule train at Haeundae beach but I thought we could just buy the tickets on that day and boy was I wrong. The queues were snaking and I pretty much gave up and we decided to go to visit one of their temples instead. The temple we went was Haedong Yonggung Temple which was located right on a cliff. Well, it’s no surprise that the place was also sprawling with tourists but it was still tolerable and we managed to spend about an hour here hiking and exploring around. Some people write their wishes on the mini lanterns and hanged them up on the display which was quite pretty ngl.

We visited Jagalchi Market after a day trip to Gamcheon Culture Village!! The village was so pretty albeit infested with tourists LOL We grabbaed a cuppa in a random nook and caught sight of a cat snoozing on the rooftops in Gamcheon which was so cute !! Sent it to L since both of us have been rather obsessed with cattos lately 🙂

Had a satisfying seafood lunch at Jagalchi market before we strolled around the area to do some shopping~

Some pics of the bbq dinner and random desserts we got from the trip~ Mum seems to have this random craving for sweet things so we pretty much bought cute little cakes back to our hotel every other day.

Note to self: pick skiing over snowboarding next time HAHA

Some random shots I took of the town during our trip…

A pretty short trip but we got to see a different side of korea and I think it will be a while before I go back there since the travelling time to Busan ate up almost 2 days to and fro HAHA Next up will be Spain/Portugal, can’t wait for that spring break in Europe 🙂

Till the next,

D
